Boxing Day Bargains

Hello all,
Hope you had a lovely Christmas and gearing up to the New Year. Christmas Day was fun with family and it was quite nice to have a few days off work. And after Christmas, comes Boxing Day!!! Yes. the one day where I don't feel the guilt of impulse buy :)

A gift I bought for myself ;)

I love love love this coat I got from Topshop. Its a duffle coat in oxblood and its amazinggg!! (Or I'm just buzzed to get it for half the price. ha!)

It has 3 gold twist clasp buttons at the front.

A lovely red satin lining on the inside

and black leather piping

 and the hood is detachable!

I got these little purses as well just beacause they were on sale haha

Also ordered these pair of shorts from ASOS. Yes, they were on sale as well.

A warm cup of comfort

It snowed for about 5 seconds yesterday. S'posed to be the coldest snap this weekend, but doubt we are gonna get proper snow down south. Check out the photos in this Daily Mail article .
And there's something about staying home, doing nothing, drinking a warm cup of comforting drink watching telly and enjoying the warmth of central heating (or a fireplace if you have one!)
So I've been shopping around for some hot chocolate and there are so many varieties of hot chocolates! You've got your caramel, mint chocolate, chilli, ginger, cinnamon, orange chocolate, banoffe, strawberry white, rhubarb white, any flavour you can think of really. But I'd quite like to get my hands on some white hot chocolate. Not as readily found as I hoped for but thank lord for Google Shopping. Here are some of the results I found:

White Hot Chocolate (350g)

One with marshmallows! £6.50 (375g)

If you are after sachets, Tesco's and other supermarkets do these, Options White Chocolate sachets. They are about 30p each or 4 for £1. Convenient if you want something for your daily commute.

Or simply pop one of  these in your drink? ;)

Wawa on Baking

I like spending my day offs doing nothing but ever so often I like to bake. I'm not very good at it but a dollop of  whipped double cream and melted chocolate helps.
I bake simple sponge cakes and plaster it with anything and everything I've got. You name it, cream, royal icing, fruits, chocolate, smarties, haribos, thousands and thousands..  (Haribo cake is surprisingly good..)

Haven't baked in ages for now but check out my earlier attempts at baking cakes :)
A Smiley Cake

A Pink-swirl Strawberry Cake

A Sunny side-up Pineapple Cake

Slightly creepy looking cake

A bunch of cupcakes we made for charity

 Obviously-not-made-by-me Cake

They weren't half bad ;)

Another Starbucks Purchase

Starbucks are having a 12 Days of Christmas specials in store and online. I got a nice red thermos for half the normal price.(Saved £6!)

Managed to scratch it already. Should have gone for the silver steel one.

A handy little cap that actually avoids any spillage.

Hmm. should pop in for a free mince pie! :)

Christmas Outfit

Office Christmas parties are always complicated. You don't want to be too OTT or look like you just came directly from work.
Here's my Christmas outfit for the staff party. A bit of black and gold and sparkle!

Black embellished shoulder top from Dorothy Perkins

Gold Lurex Tights from New Look

Block Heel Ankle Boot from New Look

Gold Chain Belt

Driving test and Cars

I have been taking driving lessons for well over a year. During this time, I have given 2 theory tests, 2 practical tests, changed my provisional licence 3 times for typos and have spent a quarter of my pay on lessons. Not giving up just yet though! :)

Its a little early to be looking for cars but I want to get it as soon as I pass my test. (Fingers crossed)
Not sure about the make and model of my 'car-to-be' but I've managed to narrow the list to the ones below.
Preferences:
Budget: £1500-£2000
Engine Size: 1.3- 1.4 l
Body: Hatchback
Transmission: Manual
Insurance group: 2-5

1. Peugeot 206

2. Renault Clio

3. Vauxhall Corsa

4. Nissan Micra
Dinky little car :)

5. Ford Ka
Bug looking Ka

6. Mini Cooper
Insurance is a bit high so its still on my wishlist

Buy of the month

I was looking for something for winter, something for everyday use and comfy enough for work. I stumbled upon these really amazing pair of suede ankle boots from Clarks. They were £60 before but got them on a offer for 40% off. Bargain!!

I got these dark brown ones coz they go with everything and you can't really tell if they're manky haha

Also in a lighter beige/grey-ish colour
